Same Day Pool & Spa Compliance Checks in Melbourne.
One Visit. Certificate Sorted.

  • Across Melbourne & Mornington Peninsula

Your 4-Year Notice Arrived, and You're Not Sure Where Your Fence Stands

Most Melbourne pool owners find themselves in the same spot. The recertification notice lands, or the house is going on the market, or something just looks a bit off about the gate, and suddenly you need answers fast. The rules are specific. The consequences of getting it wrong aren't small.
  • "I got a letter from council and I don't know if my fence is even close to compliant."
  • "We're selling and the buyer's solicitor needs a certificate before settlement."
  • "A previous inspector passed it, but I'm not confident they checked it properly."
  • "I don't know which parts of the barrier actually matter under the current standard."
  • "I need this sorted quickly without paying for three separate visits."
  • "I've had someone out before and then it failed council anyway."
The Victorian regulations are specific. A gate latch at the wrong height, a gap that's a centimetre too wide, or a nearby structure that gives a child a foothold can all mean a failed inspection. You can't guess your way through it.

Certifying Pool & Spa Safety

with Confidence and Care

At Aqua Dreamz Pool Inspections, we specialise in professional pool and spa safety barrier inspections throughout Melbourne Metro, the Mornington Peninsula, and surrounding suburbs. We help property owners meet their legal obligations under Victorian law with clear guidance, fair assessments, and a commitment to community safety.

With rising compliance requirements across Victoria, our mission is to make your certification process straightforward, stress-free, and cost-effective.

One Thorough Same-Day Inspection. Your Certificate. No Runaround.

Aqua Dreamz is run by David Kean, a certified BPC Building Inspector who spent 15 years building and renovating pools before he started certifying them. He understands how barriers are constructed, where they fail over time, and exactly what council is looking for. He doesn't tick boxes and move on.

Pre-inspection Consultation

David offers pre-inspection phone consultations for homeowners who want to understand what to expect. If there's something that's likely to fail, you'll know about it in advance, not on inspection day.

Repairs Same-Day

Small repairs like latch adjustments, gate hardware, or minor tile work don't need a second tradesperson. David handles them on the day so you're not left waiting on multiple bookings just to get compliant.

Certified & Safe

When David signs off on a barrier, he's confident it'll stand up to scrutiny. He won't certify a barrier he isn't sure about, which means no nasty surprises when council or a buyer's solicitor looks it over.
Every job is straightforward: one call, one visit, one certificate, all in the same day.

What You Actually Get When You Book With Aqua Dreamz

From first conversation to final certificate, the process can all be completed in a single day. David Kean, a certified BPC Building Inspector with over 15 years of experience in pool construction and renovation, carries out fast, thorough barrier inspections across Melbourne Metro and the Mornington Peninsula. Fully insured and accredited, he works with both residential and commercial properties, providing clear, on-the-spot guidance and certification where compliance is met.

Pool & Spa Barrier Inspection

A full on-site assessment of your safety barrier against current Victorian regulations, covering all gates, latches, fencing height, gap widths, and surrounding structures that could affect compliance.

Compliance Certification

If your barrier passes, David issues your compliance certificate on the spot. It's valid for four years under current Victorian law, so you're covered and can move on.

Re-Inspections

If something needed attention after your first visit, re-inspections are available once the required work is done. Priced separately so you're only paying for what you actually need.

Minor Fence Repairs

If minor issues are identified during your inspection, such as small fence adjustments or simple barrier repairs, we repair them while we're there.

Commercial Property Inspections

Aqua Dreamz works across apartment complexes, caravan parks, hotels, and other commercial properties, not just residential homes.
David doesn't sign off on a barrier he's not fully satisfied with. If something's not right, he'll tell you straight and explain exactly what needs to change.

Here's what happens after you book

It's a simple process. Most jobs are sorted in a single visit, and you'll have your certificate before the end of the day.

Step 1.

Get in Touch

Call 0438 367 538 or fill out the booking form with your address, and we’ll organise your inspection. In most cases, this can be completed on the same day. David will confirm your appointment as soon as possible. If you’ve got any questions beforehand, just ask.

Step 2.

Onsite Inspection

A walk of the full perimeter, checks every gate, latch, gap, and height requirement against the current Victorian standard. If there are minor repairs David can handle on the day, he does them then and there.

Step 3.

Certified & Safe

If the barrier is compliant, David issues it on the spot. It's valid for four years. If something needs further work, he'll walk you through exactly what's required, no guessing, no vague advice.

Questions We Get Asked

If your pool or spa can hold more than 300mm of water, Victorian law requires a compliant safety barrier. Compliance certificates also need to be renewed every four years. If you're not sure when yours was last certified, it's worth checking now rather than waiting for a notice.

David will walk you through exactly what needs to change. Minor repairs can often be handled on the day. For anything larger, he'll give you a clear explanation of what's required so you can get it sorted, then book a re-inspection at a reduced rate.

Most residential inspections are done within an hour. Larger properties or commercial sites may take a bit longer. David will give you a realistic estimate when you book so you can plan around it.

Aqua Dreamz covers Melbourne Metro and the Mornington Peninsula, including Dandenong, Patterson Lakes, Cranbourne, Frankston, Berwick, Yarra Valley, and Mornington. Not sure if you're in range? Give David a call and he'll let you know.

Someone needs to be on-site to provide access to gates and any locked areas. You don't need to follow David around, but being reachable is helpful in case he has a quick question during the walk-through.

Make sure all gates are accessible and nothing is blocking the fence line. If you've already spotted something you're worried about, mention it when you book. No special preparation is required beyond that.

Four Years of Compliance, Sorted In One Day

The process is straightforward, most jobs are sorted in a single visit, and your certificate is valid for four years once it's done. Book an Inspection with David today and have it crossed off your list before the week's out.
